Mr. Mairaj Anees Ariff
Director General Mr. Mairaj Anees Ariff has recently assumed charge as the Regular Director General of NIPA Quetta by the Establishment Division Government of Pakistan. The new DG NIPA Quetta belongs to the Secretariat Group of the Civil Service of Pakistan and is a senior BS-21 officer. He has served Pakistan for almost 32 years in various capacities in the Federal and Provincial Governments including Managing Director Pakistan Engineering Company Ltd., CEO Furniture Company of Pakistan, M.D National Fertilizer Marketing Company, Director General Punjab Civil Defence, Director Immigration and Anti Human Trafficking Federal Investigation Agency, Deputy Director Anti-Narcotics Force, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Commerce. The officer holds a Master Degree in Transnational Crime Prevention with thesis on “Toolkit for Counter-Terrorism Strategy for Pakistan”. His Master’s Thesis was then approved as the foundation of the Government of Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Policy by President (Gen) Pervez Musharraf (later NACTA ACT, 2013). The Director General NIPA Quetta also had the privilege of contributing a Research-based Advisory Paper to NSPP on the “Privatization in Pakistan” which was published by National Institute of Public Policy (an integral unit of NSPP) vide NIPP Policy Paper Series title as “Privatization in Pakistan: History, Reforms and Way Forward” and proposed as draft Policy to the Government of Pakistan on Privatization in Pakistan. |

Mr. Muhammad Qasim Gujjar Account Officer He has joined NIPA, Quetta with effect from August 2020 on deputation basis and currently performing his duties as Accounts Officer and carrying out overall functions related to Accounts or Finance. He holds Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) from NUML, Islamabad, and Master in International relations from the University of Baluchistan, Quetta, and Qualified / Affiliate Public Finance Accountant from Pakistan Institute of public finance accountants (PIPFA) Karachi. He is also an associate member of PIPFA (APFA). He has attended a number of on-job training and courses related to Audit, Accounts, and Public Finance Management. Before, his joining at NIPA, Quetta he has been serving as Assistant Accounts Officer (BPS-17) at Controller Military Accounts (Quetta Command) Office, of Pakistan Military Accounts Department (PMAD) under the Ministry of Defense. During his service, Mr. Muhammad Qasim served at different formations and sections such as HQ southern command Quetta Cantt, FPO HQ EME Corps Centre, controller’s main office pay section (Army/Civil), Pension sub-office, GP Fund, DSP Fund sections, TA Section (Army) and Officer Incharge of Military Accounts Training Institute (MATI) Quetta. He has performed inspection duties as an active member of different committees i.e. hiring, computerization. He has also participated as an active member in arrangements and conducting of seminar and workshop and got appreciation from the competent Authority Besides, his official career he holds a firm experience of teaching and training as an instructor and trainer. He has conducted a number of short training/courses at Military Accounts Training Institute (MATI) Quetta and Army unit as a trainer. He has conducted training classes of newly appointed Senior Auditor (B-16) (2017-2018) at MATI Quetta. He has been nominated Instructor (Faculty) for New Accounting Model and Military Accounting Procedure by PIPFA for Quetta Station. |
